Tour de Mayberry 2014 offers multiple events: Choose from a 19-mile or 44-mile bike ride through historic Mount Airy, 5K Run or Family & Friends Walk.

Choose Your Route:
All Tour de Mayberry routes begin and end in the Mountain Valley Hospice parking lot.
Edwards-Franklin House Tour (44-Mile) Bike Ride
This route will travel a scenic route out of Mount Airy to the Edwards-Franklin House. The house was built in 1799 and was restored in 1973. You return to Mountain Valley Hospice by an alternate route. This ride features some strenuous hills.
Mount Airy Tour (19 Mile) Bike Ride
This route visits the downtown area and the establishments synonymous with Mayberry including Snappy Lunch and Floyd's Barbershop. Cyclists will pass the boyhood home of Andy Griffith, as well as the Andy and Opie "TV Land" Statue, before heading out for some scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountain Range.
5K Run
Featuring Chip Timing for the competitive runners, this course is ideal for those wanting a short loop through gently rolling and delightfully shaded uptown "Mayberry." It is an out and back going through some of Mount Airy's more beautiful neighborhoods including historic North Main.
Family and Friends Walk (3.1 Miles)
This is the same route as the 5K run, just a little slower paced. It isn't timed - just a relaxing stroll through the scenic route with friends and family. It would be a great way to reflect, remember and even share stories of a loved one Hospice has served.
Snoozin'
This is a way to support Mountain Valley Hospice and the Tour de Mayberry even if you can't be with us for the big day. You may pick up your packet and t-shirt on Friday or Saturday, June 6th or 7th. Or we can mail to you - just include an additional $5 for postage with your registration.

$35 for cyclists
$30 for 5K runners/walkers
T-shirts are provided on a first-registered, first-provided basis.
